Privacy Policy

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, phone number and a password. When you transact we collect the phone numbers, meter numbers, smartcard numbers or betting IDs you submit, plus the amount and status of each transaction. We also collect basic technical data such as device type, browser and IP address for security purposes.

• To deliver the data, airtime, electricity, TV or pin purchases you request
• To process wallet funding and issue receipts
• To detect and prevent fraud and unauthorised access
• To respond to support requests and send service notifications

We share only the minimum data required with our payment provider (for wallet funding and virtual account creation) and with the telecom and utility providers that fulfil your purchases. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Taraba Data does not store card numbers, CVVs or bank passwords. Payments are handled entirely by our licensed payment partner on their own secure infrastructure.

Transaction PINs are stored as one-way hashes, all traffic is served over HTTPS, and access to customer data is restricted to authorised staff. We keep transaction records for as long as required by Nigerian financial record-keeping practice.

You may request a copy of your data, correct inaccurate details, or ask us to delete your account by emailing tarabadatasub@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days. Note that transaction records may be retained where the law requires it.

We use cookies and analytics tools (including Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager) to keep you signed in and understand how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working.
